This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of the
First World War. This significant anniversary has led to a substantial increase
in research being conducted on this conflict.
The Research Centre at the Australian War Memorial is a key resource for
researching Australia’s involvement in the First World War. The Research Centre
holds a variety of materials to support this research, including official
records, private records including diaries and letters, manuscripts, books,
serials, maps, leaflets, music and more.
To find out more about this rich collection, join Jennifer Milward for a
45-minute tour of the stacks and insight into the variety of items available
for viewing in the Reading Room.
Due to space restrictions in the stacks, the group must be limited to 15
people.
Please note that no food or drink is permitted in the Memorial or
